How it Works

I understand that each individual’s struggle is unique and I seek to tailor therapeutic support in this way. I also understand how difficult it can be for someone to put their life on hold to prioritize recovery, especially when they are unsure if they actually want to recover or if they doubt recovery is possible. As a result, I will hold hope for you until you can hold this for yourself. Recovery is possible!

Finding the Right Therapist

How do I know if you're the right therapist?

Before we meet in person and start therapy, I offer a free phone consultation so that we can determine how I can help and whether I'd be a good fit for your clinical needs. This allows us to to "break the ice" as well as inform you about my techniques and office policies.

I believe it is crucial for you to feel safe and comfortable with the therapist you choose. The quality of the relationship, the response you receive and the comfort offered will be the best indicators to you in determining if a therapist is the right fit for you.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO GO TO THERAPY AND FOR HOW LONG?

The schedule of your therapeutic work will be based on your clinical needs and will be specific to your treatment goals. I will work with your unique situation and together we will determine the frequency of your appointments. A typical therapy session ranges from 45 to 110 minutes with the duration ranging from short-term to long-term work. Again this will depend on your clinical presentation and goals desired. Therapy is most effective when participating actively, in and out of the therapy office.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

At this time I do not take insurance. However, I am willing to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. Sometimes insurance companies reimburse for out-of-network benefits. Sometimes they do not. I encourage you to call your insurance company so that you are fully informed.

What are the next steps?

Do you feel ready to begin? The first step is to contact me so that we can set up an initial phone consultation. This consultation is free of charge and will give me an overview of why you are reaching out and how I can help. If we both decide that it feels like a good fit, we will then schedule your first appointment before ending the call.

Are you ready to take the next step? Feel free to reach out and contact me.
